Fire safety and fire doors - your responsibility

Fire doors are an important element in the fire safety of a building, but too often everyone assumes that someone else will ensure their quality and performance. If those involved in the specification, purchase, installation, inspection and maintenance of a fire door recognised the consequence of their choices and actions, then all fire doors would do their job - save lives and save property. Check out:

  • The label on the door and frame
  • The instructions on the door
  • The frame specification
  • The Building Regulations
  • Apertures ONLY from Licensed Converters
  • The gap between the door and the frame
  • CERTIFIRE approved and CE marked ironmongery
  • Correct CERTIFIRE approved seals
