Specifiers

At the projects outset, the specifier has the opportunity to identify where a fire door is required and what its rating needs to be, and to set the standard by insisting on a third party certificated product.

A specifier looks at the fire safety of the whole building, and should select the fire safety products required to ensure the safety of the occupants in the event of a fire. While cost is always a consideration, decisions on product quality and performance should be made with that safety in mind. If the specifer insists on the highest standards of fire safety from the design stage, it sets the tone for the project.
