The BWF has exclusive access for its members to a range of funding for companies looking to undertake training in their business, thanks to funding through the CITB.
If you are looking to undertake training in the following areas, please contact us for more details:
• CNC Training (with options for delivery in Nottingham, Bristol, and in-house)
• Machine refresher training (delivered in-house)
• Managing and Supervising Employees on Woodworking Machines
• Corian fabricator training
• First Aid training (funding only)
• FENSA/CERTASS etc MTC card for fenestration installation or surveying (funding only)
• Joinery Spraying (in-house)
This list is not exhaustive, and many forms of training fit within the criteria of the funding pot we have available.
Eligibility criteria
You must be a member of the BWF and registered and in-scope of CITB. For all training (except for CNC training) there is a £1,000 limit per company across all types of training, and companies cannot have drawn down similar funding through a training group of the CITB. The BWF has a finite pot of funds, and therefore funding is allocated to members on a first-come-fisrt-served basis. This funding does not affect your ability to claim for any training eligible through the standard CITB grant scheme. The training listed above is a sample of what is funded, if you have a need for training that is not listed above, please contact the BWF for advice on eligibility.
To get more information on how to claim the funding or for further advise on eligibility criteria, please email Dave Campbell, Membership & Training Director at dave.campbell@bwf.org.uk or call 0844 815 9981.
