I was delighted to hear from ConstructionSkills that BWF members are still training despite the gloomy economic outlook reported in the press.
The BWF receives an annual report from ConstructionSkills about how you are all making use of the grant scheme. In the 2010/11 grant year, for every £1 paid in levy, £1.14 was claimed on average in grant. We’re down on the previous year, but in the economic circumstances, I don’t think that’s half bad – you’re still training, you’re still investing in skills, and you're still getting back more than you put in.
