Courses aimed at businesses with a need to assess employees using individual or more woodworking machines, allowing a modular approach. All courses are tailored to the requirements of their business needs.
Regulation 9, The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations require every employer to ensure that all employees who use work equipment have received suitable and sufficient training and have demonstrated competence in their safe use.
Training is to be refreshed every three / five years as stated by the HSE Your course will include: selection and setting of guards selection and setting of tooling safe setting and using of machine use of safety devices legal requirements You will undertake learning modules on-line, with a multiple choice test. Practical assessment of competence will take place for each machine.
City & Guilds Certificate in the Safe Use of Woodworking Machinery.
Determined by the number of staff and their current level of competence. Typically 1 day or more days Progression Progression can include the following: NVQ in Machine Woodworking.
