Joining the Scheme

The TWA Scheme is the leading and longest established Scheme of its kind in the UK. Its 29 members include manufacturers, suppliers and installers, representing some of the leading companies in their sectors. Manufacturers range from large, volume producers to smaller, more bespoke joinery companies. The Scheme is run by its members for its members.

TWA Scheme members are Kitemarked with the BSI; they are working towards achieving Energy Ratings, and are actively involved in research and development. In recognition of the quality of TWA Scheme windows, BRE's new Green Guide will show the life expectancy of Scheme windows extended to 35 years, against 30 years for other timber windows. These are all issues, along with unrivalled quality and safety policies, that influencers, specifiers, buyers and consumers are considering when specifying new windows.

Here is quick list of the benefits of TWA Scheme membership:

  • Eligibility for membership of the Wood Window Alliance
  • Eligibility for use of the BSI Kitemark on your windows
  • TWA Scheme labels
  • TWA Scheme marketing through website and directory
  • Longer predicted service life in BRE's new Green Guide
  • Technical support and helpline
  • The opportunity to join a technical discussion forum
  • R&D opportunities, including the BWF/BRE Showcase Project, Life Cycle Assessment and Whole Life Costing
