About the Forum

The BWF believes well trained employees are safer, better skilled, work faster and make fewer mistakes. A fully trained team is essential for the long-term sustainability, efficiency and profitability of your business. Effective training is crucial to the future of the woodworking and joinery industry as a whole.

That's why the BWF has launched this new training initiative - the Woodworking Industry Training Forum, known as the WITForum.

The WITForum aims to improve training for those joining the industry and those already in the industry

To address the training needs of the industry, the WITForum organises a number of seminars and workshops throughout the year.

The Timber Training Programme - a series of three one-day modules on the properties of wood, treatments and coatings and sustainability. All modules are CPD accredited.

The Health and Safety Workshops - half day sessions at various locations around the country on the essentials of workplace safety and include updates on Health and Safety Law.
