There are six award categories this year, offering the opportunity for companies and individuals alike to showcase technical innovation, excellence in joinery projects, product design, process efficiency and health and safety.

The BWF Health & Safety Award acknowledges individual or collective effort which has made a notable
difference to the health and safety practices and culture within a business.
Process Efficiency- Sponsored by PIB Insurance Brokers
Implementing lean processes maximises value for money, quality and speed of delivery. The BWF Process Efficiency Award recognises exceptional projects of this kind that have improved business performance.

The BWF Product Design in Wood Award recognises excellence in technical innovation, design and application in joinery product manufacture.

The BWF Woodworking Project of the Year Award recognises innovation and the very best in design, application and ability in joinery manufacture.
Woodworking Apprentice of the year– Sponsored by CITB
The BWF Apprentice of the Year Award celebrates the achievements of woodworking apprentices. Previous winners of the Award have really stood out from the crowd, either through fantastic feats in their work or extraordinary commitment that has added value to their place of work.
Rising Star– Sponsored by Dixon International Group Ltd
The BWF Rising Star Award has been designed to recognise an individual whose dedication and hard work has made a real difference either to the organisation in which they work, or to the wider woodworking and joinery community.
Nomination forms are welcomed from all areas of a business – HR, Health & Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Finance,Sales, Marketing, Production, etc. Those shortlisted will likely have led a campaign and/or driven change in their business or the wider industry and set an example that inspires/challenges others to follow their lead.
When do I need to submit my award entry?
The deadline for submitting entries is now closed. Shortlisted finalists will be announced soon
I am a not a member of the BWF, can I still enter an award?
Yes, as long as you are from the UK Joinery and Woodworking sector you can enter an award.
Is there a cost to enter the awards?
No, the awards are free of charge to enter
When will I know if I have been shortlisted for an award?
All finalists will be notified in October 2021
Will the award ceremony be taking place as a face to face event?
The BWF will be closely monitoring the guidance from the Government around face to face events. The safety of our staff, members and the general public remain our key priority.
