BWF wins Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Fellowship ‘Advocate for Fire Safety’ AwardHannah Mansell was awarded the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Fellowship Award ‘Advocate for Passive Fire Protection 2017’ at their inaugural awards dinner held at the Tower of London on 8th December.

Hannah was commended for her work in promoting fire door safety in products and installation, as spokesperson for Fire Door Safety Week Campaign, and as chair of the Passive Fire Protection Forum (PFPF) and as Trustee of the Children’s Burns Trust.

Hannah said:

“Fire safety in a building is not just about one element or product, it’s about a holistic approach to mitigating risk and numerous passive and active protection measures working together. Likewise, promoting awareness and best practice is also a joint effort. Therefore, I would like to dedicate this award to all the organisations and individuals who have encouraged me to continue to ask the most awkward questions of fire safety in this country, including the British Woodworking Federation, the Fire Door Safety Week Team, The Passive Fire Protection Forum and the Children’s Burns Trust. Let’s raise a glass to them and to all the work that we will be doing together in 2018.”
