Membership figures at the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) are looking healthier, with recruitment in recent weeks exceeding expectations, despite the turbulent times in the economy. Fifteen applications have been received from manufacturers located across the length and breadth of the UK, within the last 6 weeks with one of the many reasons for joining being the assistance BWF can provide to companies in understanding the new Building Regulations Parts L and F and making it easier to comply with the regulations by offering an affordable U-value calculation service. Click here for further information. Among other popular reasons for joining are the BWF’s Total Support Services, offering a range of additional services (some at discounted rates for members until late-October) intended to support our members and available at discounted rates. Combining applicant visits with visits to our existing members as part of the Engage Programme, it has been a busy few months gathering intelligence on current workload and the many issues facing the membership. I am delighted to welcome our new members, and hope that more and more companies across the UK will join the BWF to share in the many benefits of membership, which are more relevant than ever in these turbulent times.
