BWF Working Groups

The BWF operates a number of Working Groups which aim to address specific issues, projects or challenges that could affect BWF Members and the wider industry. Through a collaborative approach that welcomes individuals with diverse knowledge, experience and skill sets, the working groups support the aims, objectives and overall strategy of the BWF. Please note, these working groups are only open to current Members of the BWF. If you would like to find out more about joining a BWF Working Group, contact Membership Manager Gary Kruse at gary.kruse@bwf.org.uk.

BWF Sustainability Working Group

This working group has been formed to encourage active collaboration to better understand the sustainability requirements for timber and how best this can be collated and presented to support all elements of the supply chain. The group will consider the three core pillars of sustainability (Environmental, Social and Economic) with the key aim to support BWF Members to achieve their agreed aims and objectives within their own sustainability journey.

BWF Heritage and Conservation Working Group

This working group has been formed to support all BWF Members that provide products or services for use in listed or conservation properties. The group aims to recognise challenges affecting Members such as conflicting regulatory guidance, and provide resources and support for better understanding. The group aims to continue to promote the use of timber in Heritage and Conservation projects and ensure it continues to remain the material of choice.
