BWF Technical Officer Chris Addison had been awarded a distinguished service certificate by BSI on account of his excellent service to BSI technical committees since joining BWF. The award was presented to him at a recent BSI meeting of FSH/22 on 30 October 2013 (see photo).
After almost 30 years in the timber industry and having been at BWF for the best part of a decade, Chris is set to retire in early March 2014 having been an invaluable source of information both for the BWF membership and the various numbers of technical committees that he has been involved with.
The BWF technical team play a vital role in our activities, sitting on over 50 committees in Europe and the UK helping shape product standards and regulations. The team are there to ensure that BWF members get the best deal, as well as the insider knowledge, to help them prepare for changes and the delivery of ever improving quality products.
