The British Woodworking Federation is the trade association for the woodworking and joinery manufacturing industry in the UK. We have over 600 members, representing a total turnover of approximately £0.5 billion of manufacturing in the UK in 2013.
As a key element of our service BWF offer advice and guidance on technical issues, explain the implications of policy, regulation and standards changes and represent our members’ views on standards and regulatory bodies, as well as answering day-to-day queries through our helpline.
We are recruiting a Technical Liaison Manager to work with our Technical Director and manage the delivery and communication of the BWF’s technical support to our members. It is an exciting, challenging and demanding role in a dynamic, modern and award winning Trade Body. This role will give you an unparalleled opportunity to work with leaders in the woodworking sector, influence the development and direction of the industry and to shape the BWF’s technical services for the future.

Desired Skills and Experience
You will have knowledge of timber products and the joinery sector, be a team player and have the ability to break down complex information and communicate simply and effectively both orally and in writing. You should have a good grasp of using IT (including MS Office packages).
