Jewish Museum, Berlin

Accoya modified wood continues to impress in woodworking projects the world overAccoya is the primary cladding material for The Academy of the Jewish Museum in Berlin. Designed as an extension to the current Jewish Museum, the 25,000 sq. ft. one storey Academy has been created with cube shaped timber structures which house the museum’s library, archives and education centre.  
 

German Embassy, Washington DC

Accoya modified wood continues to impress in woodworking projects the world overAccoya was used for the renovation of the German Embassy in Washington DC. The prestigious property combines the main colonial-style Embassy building and a semi-detached house. Both structures were designed in the 1960s by prominent German architect Egon Eiermann.
 

Edinburgh World Heritage Site

Accoya modified wood continues to impress in woodworking projects the world overAccoya is proving popular for projects in Edinburgh’s renowned UNESCO World Heritage site. In the city’s neo-classical 18th Century New Town, Morgan McDonnell Architecture Ltd worked with Accoya distributor Russwood Ltd on the redevelopment of prestigious Grade A listed office premises at Charlotte Square in the city centre.
 

Dutch ‘Floating’ Bridge

Accoya modified wood continues to impress in woodworking projects the world overAccoya, has been used to create a unique “floating” bridge in the Dutch city of Bergen op Zoom.  Completed earlier this year, the bridge spans Pielekenswater and its design was inspired by the work of Dutch military engineer Menno van Coehoorn, who built the 18th century Revelijn op den Zoom fortress in the same location.
