BWF will be active throughout Construction Week, co-ordinated from Stand (T3 414-416), in the Timber Expo Hall at the NEC. As well as promoting our BWF Stair Scheme Installation Guide, demonstrating the common problems with fire doors and our new best practice guide and showcasing timber windows, we have three important events taking place on our stand.
On the Tuesday 6th October at 1:30 pm, we will be signing a new Memorandum of Understanding with the Structural Timber Association, a new united front in promoting timber, developing best practice Health and Safety support and focussing on the training infrastructure that supports our respective industries.
On Wednesday 7th October at 2:30pm, we will be launching our new e-learning zone, which will feature a wealth of resources covering estimating, BIM, Contract Procedure and Administration, Project Management, Procurement, Setting out and Surveying as well of our new suite of new Fire Door Training Modules launched by the BWF CERTIFIRE Scheme.
On Thursday 8th October at 2:30pm we will be launching the shortlist for our 2015 BWF Woodworking Awards, showcasing the best projects, processes and people working in our industry. You are very welcome to attend any of these events.
BWF is also active in the CPD zone and will be presenting three workshops:
– Timber Staircases: The Art of Structure on Wednesday 7th October at 10:30am
– How safe are your fire doors? on Wednesday 7th October at 3:00pm
– Looking ahead through timber windows on Thursday 8th October at 10:30am
