Job Vacancy: Membership Director

JOB TITLE: Membership Director and Wood Window Alliance Lead

REPORTS TO: BWF Chief Executive

SALARY: TBC (dependent on experience)

LOCATION: Field Based

An exciting position has become available working for one of the construction and manufacturing industry's leading Trade Associations. The British Woodworking Federation is seeking a highly-motivated individual as Membership Director who will also lead activities of the Wood Window Alliance.

The BWF is the leading authority for the woodworking and joinery manufacturing industry in the UK. As one of the fastest growing trade bodies in the UK in recent years, it has over 700 members drawn from manufacturers, distributors and installers of timber windows, doors, conservatories, staircases, furniture and all forms of architectural joinery including interiors and engineered timber components.

The organisation represents the industry to government and the supply chain, and provides information, advice and guidance to its members to help them trade more profitably.
This critical role is designed to act as a pivot point between BWF and the membership and the wider woodworking sector, proactively developing relationships, growing the membership and feeding back crucial information to help evolve our service and shape our policy work.  The BWF Membership Director will also take responsibility for the successful management of the Wood Window Alliance programme, helping to grow the market for wood windows.

With good account management and commercial development experience, preferably in the woodworking sector, you will be a motivated self-starter, who is a real team player. You will be confident and highly customer solution focused, with an ability to develop cold leads, manage a complex marketing campaign, prioritise, meet deadlines and manage a broad portfolio. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to help drive this trade body forward.
