Course Purpose/Scope
An essential course for any person working with safety harnesses and fall arrest systems. Learners will develop knowledge and understanding of the inspection of equipment, safe storage, and actions required for faulty systems and parts.
The scope of this course includes:
- Safe systems of work
- Inspection regimes
- Inspection types
- Inspecting lanyards and arresters
- Inspecting securing points
- Safe storage of harnesses
- Inspection recording
- Removal / rectifying unsuitable harnesses and equipment.
