Course Purpose/Scope
This course is designed to train operators in the safe use of telehandlers including operator responsibilities, site safety, vehicle manoeuvring and operation, daily and pre-use inspections and operator maintenance.
The scope of this course includes:
- Operator responsibilities
- Operational safety code
- Site safety
- Risk assessment
- Basic vehicle manoeuvring procedures
- Advanced vehicle manoeuvring procedures
- Basic plant hydraulic & electrical systems
- Daily safety checks and routine maintenance requirements
- Vehicle fuelling/recharging procedures
- Stacking & de-stacking (Free & Racking)
- Vehicle loading (where applicable)
