Thee purpose of the Forklift Safe Use and Operation course is to train candidates on the safe use and operation of forklift trucks including attachments.
The scope of this course includes:
- Operator responsibilities
- Operational safety code
- Site safety
- Risk assessment
- Basic vehicle manoeuvring procedures
- Advanced vehicle manoeuvring procedures
- Basic plant hydraulic & electrical systems
- Daily safety checks and routine maintenance requirements
- Vehicle fuelling/recharging procedures
- Stacking & de-stacking (Free & Racking)
- Vehicle loading (where applicable)
