Course Purpose/Scope
This course is designed to train candidates on the safe use and operation of chainsaws.
The scope of this course includes:
- Basic chainsaw safety
- Responsibilities (employer and employee)
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements
- Pre-use inspection and checks
- Basic maintenance and servicing
- General chainsaw operation
- Cutting practices and techniques (cross cut operations only)
- Pack cutting (if applicable)
