The purpose of this course is to train candidates on the safe use and operation of chainsaws.
The scope of this course includes:
- Basic chainsaw safety
- Responsibilities (Employer and Employee)
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements
- Pre-use inspection and checks
- Basic Maintenance and Servicing
- General chainsaw operation
- Cutting practices and techniques (Cross Cut operations only)
- Pack cutting (if applicable)
