We are delighted to announce that the BWF Members’ Day Conference 2016 will to take place on Thursday 7th July at Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa, Whittlebury, Towcester, Northamptonshire, NN12 8QH.
We have extended the popular offer where BWF joinery members are entitled to book one free place, but you must book early as places are limited (booking is essential).
BWF Members’ Day will provide joinery manufacturers and woodworking professionals with a unique opportunity to participate in various workshops entirely focused on their needs, and to get up to date with the latest developments in the industry, with a free exhibition showcasing the latest innovations and technologies to aid the joinery industry.
The programme features BWF technical experts and other guest speakers covering topics as diverse as the fundamentals of stair design and how to deal with the spaghetti of conflicting standards and regulations in that market, to managing difficult clients, smarter production processes, the growing use of wood in interiors, maintaining certifications, tackling poor installations, and how to avoid the three big health and safety fines. Kevin Underwood, the BWF’s technical director, will be running a workshop on the practical introduction of CE Marking of fire doorsets.
We also have excellent keynote speakers including Suzannah Nichol MBE, chief executive of Build UK, who will give an update on the progress being made on fundamental supply chain issues and Bill Esterton MP will also give his viewpoint on the implications of the EU Referendum and the latest iteration of the Government’s construction strategy.

There will also be a drinks reception and informal networking dinner on the evening of 6th July, no pomp or circumstance, providing a very popular social opportunity for members to discuss industry issues.
“I think this Dinner is one of the BWF’s best kept secrets, it is always a lively, useful and enjoyable evening” said David Pattenden, Westgate Joinery.
