Help Us Find Problem Stairs!

Since we launched the BWF Stair Scheme last year, we’ve found that our fundamental concern has struck a chord with many members.  Concern over the awareness of standards relating to stairs and the quality of stair manufacture is more widespread than we realised.  We’ve also had some strong positive reactions from site managers, who quickly saw the advantages for them of using accredited manufacturers.

It’s been more difficult to persuade the wider construction industry of the problem.  Actually, that shouldn’t surprise us.  If they don’t have to deal with immediate defects or failures, they won’t see anything wrong with the products they’re getting…
