NSCC and WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) are holding free, half day workshops in London, Birmingham and Leeds to help specialist contractors reduce carbon emissions from their activities. The workshops are designed specifically for specialist and SME contractors with 50 – 250 employees. The workshops take place in February, and will help you to:

  • Make sense of the legislation and incentives from government;
  • Offer low carbon solutions that save you, and your clients, money;
  • Reduce carbon on site saving fuel and electricity costs ;
  • Protect the environment on and near to your construction site; and
  • Demonstrate your commitment to being a 'responsible' contractor and differentiate yourself in the market place.

The construction industry accounts for 47% of the UK's Carbon Emissions and to meet the government target of reducing emissions by 80% by 2050, we will all need to know how to reduce our carbon footprint. Reducing your carbon footprint and protecting the environment makes sound business sense. The workshops will help businesses to discover ways to reduce their costs, enhance their reputation, develop a competitive advantage and contribute towards the target to reduce carbon emissions in the UK.

The workshops are scheduled for the following dates:

  • London – 16th February
  • Birmingham – 23rd February
  • Leeds – 24th February
