The survey results from the last quarter gave us vital information about the trends within our sector, indicating that joinery manufacturers remain hopeful of bouncing back after a subdued, weather-hit first quarter.

Despite the balance of respondents indicating that sales volumes had decreased, poor weather conditions were thought to be a factor, there is some optimism that volumes will return. You can see the results to this survey and previous surveys here: www.bwf.org.uk/publications/market-research

The 2013 Q2 BWF State of Trade Survey has now been launched and it is crucial for us to have a robust evidence base about recent trends within our sector that you, the BWF membership can access, and that we can to present to government.

The quarterly State of Trade survey is a vital tool, not only to help members by providing better information on trends in the woodworking sector, but also to support the lobbying and representation work that we do on your behalf – simply put, this is essential information.

We are working in conjunction with the Constructions Products Association on this initiative and our figures will be integrated and compared to the broader market.  All data supplied is confidential. The deadline is the 21st June, but it would be great if you could complete now (or forward to on to an appropriate colleague).

We anticipate results being available at the end of July. Please invest this small amount of time in helping us to better support and represent your business and the wider woodworking sector.

The survey is simple to complete and should take no longer than 5 minutes. Please log in below as a BWF member to fill in your results.
