The timber industry’s own exhibition, Timber Expo, takes place 25-26 September at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, and the BWF has pledged its support, and will also exhibit to promote the membership.
The Exhibition that focusses solely on wood and timber products will be in its second year, where it is expected to be bigger and better.
The exhibition is aimed at end-users, architects and specifiers, and feedback from last year’s attendees was that joinery products needed to be higher on the agenda.
Dave Campbell, BWF Marketing Manager said, “There was a clear call from last year’s exhibition visitors to see more of the products our members offer. It provides an unrivalled opportunity to promote BWF members so it was only right that we got behind Timber Expo in 2012”.
The BWF is calling for members to get behind the exhibition by taking a stand themselves, for which they can obtain a 5% discount of the usual price when booked as a BWF member. Dave continued, “We believe that Timber Expo’s success will be assured only by a good joinery presence. I would encourage as many members as possible exhibit at the event and take advantage of the discount that we have secured”.
When Timber Expo was launched in 2011, there was no doubt that the time was right to seize the day and to give the timber industry its own show in the UK. Exhibitors and visitors have been exceptionally positive about the first show and it achieved that critical mass which would provide a springboard into 2012 and a show – already 60% booked – which will be 50% bigger than last year.
With over 200 exhibitors, 100 speakers and 5000 visitors, Timber Expo 2012 is set to be bigger, bolder and better.
