The Joinery State of Trade Survey Q2 2016 has now been launched and should take no longer than 5 minutes for you to complete. It would be great if you could complete now (or forward on to an appropriate colleague). All data supplied is confidential. It is vital that we monitor trends and views in the market to ensure the survey delivers realtime data to support decisions in member firms and to help instruct our activities and substance to our lobbying – the more members that complete the more powerful this survey will be. Please also include any views, hopes and concerns related to the recent referendum, so we can categorise, reflect and carry forward in our work with the Civil Service and Government Officials oever the coming weeks and months.

The collated results are of course accessible to BWF members – Q1 2016 results indicated that although sales performances remained healthy on the whole, plenty of risks remain. Despite plenty of woodworking businesses showing an enthusiasm to invest and increase their workforce, an increase in the cost impact of raw material and labour could eat into margins.
