In a tough economic climate, strong leadership attributes are of paramount importance to keep businesses competitive. So now more than ever, the construction and the built environment sector needs strong managers and leaders to help keep overheads low, customers happy and money coming in.

In our Management and Supervisory Skills (M&SS) report published in July, CITB-ConstructionSkills identified areas which the industry felt it lacked in terms of management and supervisory skills. Across the industry, many companies felt that their organisation lacked understanding of green issues (43%), and another 39% said that they had trouble identifying new business opportunities.
