Exova takeover of BM TRADA

Exova today completed the acquisition of BM TRADA, the international provider of certification schemes and building products testing services, in a £22m deal.

The acquisition adds around 340 personnel operating in 16 countries. Exova said both companies have complementary offerings through internationally recognised certification schemes, all of which will be retained.

High Wycombe-based BM TRADA provides accredited certification services to all major management system standards, sustainable supply chain certification, product and service certification. It also provides a range of building materials and system testing.

Exova, on writing to BWF Chief Executive, Iain McIlwee, described the takeover as an "exciting move" that will extend their range of certification services and offer both expanded capacity and capabilities in building products testing.
