HSE revises Woodworking Information Sheets covering CNC routers, noise reduction and safe stacking of logs

The following woodworking information sheets have been revised by HSE and can be downloaded through the links below:

Routers and machining centres safe working practices (WIS22) gives updated guidance for employers and operators on safe working practices when using CNC routers and machining centres, and hand-fed/integrated-fed routing machines. This revision has been updated to meet BS EN standards and also includes new illustrations.

Noise at woodworking machines (WIS 13) and Noise reduction at band re-saws (WIS 4) are now available. The revisions include new information on how noise is measured as well as new references for obtaining practicable advice on controlling noise in the workplace

Stacking round timber, sawn timber and board materials (WIS 2), now includes guidance on the safe stacking of logs.
