More courses are scheduled for CNC training that aim to help apprentices and other staff to gain the skills to operate the high-tech machinery being adopted by joinery firms across the UK.
Created in response to the skills gap in the apprenticeship framework, the course is split into two tiers, one for apprentices (or those that have just completed) and more experienced workers.
The 5-day course is fully funded through CITB-ConstructionSkills and is only available to joinery companies that are members of the BWF. Firms must also be registered and in-scope of the CITB.
Delivered by machinery manufacturer SCM Group (UK) Ltd at their training facility in Nottingham, the course will cover both programming and use of CNC machines.
The course fee also includes accommodation and travel expenses where required, providing a fantastic opportunity to increase skills in an innovation area at no cost.
There are two course dates scheduled:
8th-12th October (Basic/Apprentice Course)
12th-16th November (Advanced/Experienced Worker Course)
Places and funding are limited, so members are advised to book quickly to ensure their places are secured. For more information and to book, visit the CNC Training Page.
