Thermal Sandwich Panels and Doorblanks Exclusively from Timbmet

Timbmet are now the exclusive UK distributor of external quality Veneered Sandwich Panels from OH Industri, Denmark – for use in doors or panels. These OH Sandwich Panels are designed to save on production time and enable  external doors to be fully compliant with existing U values dictated by Part L of the Building Regulations, and the proposed lower U values due for implementation in 2013.

“The thermal potential of the Sandwich Panels is hugely relevant to UK joiners, architects and specifiers,” comments Justin Hayward of Timbmet. “The need to keep abreast of legislation is vital and the excellent thermal insulation properties of the OH Sandwich Panels fit perfectly with our existing TEC® (Timbmet Engineered Components) portfolio. In addition, we are offering this product range in a variety of smaller quantities, other than half or full loads, which represents an enormous reduction in material and cost wastage for those using the panels.”

The panels themselves come in four options: ChenChen, FSC® HDF, Sapele and Oak, all with a polystyrene core material and a 28mm thickness. Bespoke specials are also available.

Also included in the Timbmet exclusive range are OH Timber Composite Doorblanks which meet Part-L U value regulations and are registered within the BM Trada Q-Mark ‘Enhanced Security Doorsets PAS 23 & 24’ door scheme.
