Business Support for Woodworking CompaniesThis section of the website draws together the business support services and advice available through the BWF for Woodworking Companies.

The day-to-day obligations for any business can seem daunting.  BWF exists to help members trade more profitably and is dedicated to supporting members in meeting their obligations as a business.  The BWF Code of Conduct sets out the principles of good practice for a woodworking or joinery business.  It is supported by a the BWF Joinery Toolkit, which provides a range of guidance notes, factsheets, simple guides and template documents to ensure sets out how these principles might be applied practically to your business.

All information resources are backed up by a dedicated helpline covering legal and contractual advice, employment law and taxation advice.  For complex queries, calls are diverted via the BWF to leading experts such as Baker Tilly, Wedlake Bell and Croners to ensure our members get the best advice as rapidly as possible.

Our Guide to Running a Joinery Business helps to draw alot of this information together – this and other supporting documents are available in the Publications Section of the website.
