The recent referendum result in favour of Britain leaving the European Union has raised questions over the impact Brexit will have on the construction industry.
In order to ensure that the situation is as beneficial as possible to those in the UK Woodworking sector, and to take account of any future risks or opportunities. BWF needs to present a clear position to Government and policy makers based of the views of the membership. The new Prime Minister Theresa May has made clear that “Brexit means Brexit” and that she intends to “make a success of it”.
This one-page online survey seeks member views on the outcomes they want from the Brexit negotiations and how these can best be achieved, in addition to looking at any potential positive or negative outcomes that we can raise with government. It would be great if you could complete now (or forward on to an appropriate colleague). All individual data supplied is confidential.

BWF is also feeding this information back in to Build UK, the collective voice for the contracting supply chain in construction of which we are members.
You can view the consultation paper Build UK has issued to trade associations on Brexit to gather feedback and solidify their position. The paper includes details of Build UK’s current position and useful background information on EU/EEA migrants working in construction, Britain’s current trading relationship with the rest of the EU and the current situation regarding which types of legislation and standards may be relevant in the event of Brexit.
