Events
The BWF is engaged in numerous meetings on behalf of the membership on a regular basis. We also offer a number of events for the membership to attend including training, briefings, technical committees and the AGM, to name a few. You will find all our meetings below. If you are a member, you should ensure that you are logged in, as this will allow you access to more information about all the events and meetings on the calendar.
Many of the meetings you will be able to attend, others will be closed to the membership, but you will be able to see what we're discussing and feel free to contact the staff member attending the meeting if you would like more information.
Stairs Seminar – Balancing High Standards of Specification with Innovative Design
8 February 2012 - A briefing introducing the industry standard for stair manufacture, verifying that products meet that standard and enabling the regulatory authorities to differentiate accredited products from those which are not, while delivering stairs which push the boundaries in design innovation.

Wood Talks: Wood from Beginning to End - Bridging the Supply Chain
7 October 2011 - Wood for Good is holding a Timber Industry Event on the morning of 11 October at the Building Centre in London. The event seeks to bring the industry and architects together to talk about the use of wood, and some of the impediments to its use in the supply chain.

This Could Be Your Year:The BWF John Hedgecock Memorial Award 2011
12 September 2011 - The John Hedgecock Memorial Award was created last year in memory of John Hedgecock, the former technical director at the BWF. It is a fitting tribute to a man whose dedication and knowledge of woodworking and joinery manufacturing was second to none.
