As the ‘Recycle Now’ campaign launches its National Recycle Week (June 22nd to 28th) comes the news of an increase in waste wood recycling in 2008 to over 2 million tonnes.

Figures recently announced by the Wood Recyclers Association show an overall increase in wood waste recycling of 7% compared to 2007. Most significant is the increase in wood waste now used in Biomass/Energy which has risen by 48% to almost million tonnes due to large-scale biomass demand.
