Kitchen Company Nobia, which owns Magnet Trade, has reached agreement to sell its manufacturing facility in Keighley, West Yorkshire to Oakworth Joinery. The factory will continue to manufacture timber windows and other joinery products, which will be sold through Magnet Trade outlets across the UK with both companies agreeing a long term supply agreement. Magnet Trade continues to be focused on the supply of kitchens and joinery products to the building trade through its network of 186 trade counters across the UK; however the move is in line with Nobia’s strategy of concentrating its production assets on the manufacture of kitchen products. John Bevan from Magnet Trade said, “The Keighley manufacturing facility is in good shape, as long term deals have been secured with new and existing customers and there have been a number of successful new product launches in the last year.” The transaction is expected to be complete by the end of February.
