The BWF kindly thanks all the members who had sent in their responses to the 2009 Pay and Conditions Survey.
The results have now been analysed since the final replies came in at the beginning of November 2009. All BWF members who have responded will be receiving a breakdown of the survey results together with a summary of the key issues.
The Pay & Conditions Survey enables us to offer a snapshot of average earnings, covering most of the main categories of employee, together with information covering other areas within the joinery industry, including benefits, working practices and company size. Some of the information is also broken down into geographical regions. The survey results have enabled us to see any wage patterns that may have emerged between 2008 and 2009.
As usual we appreciate the sensitivity of the information provided to us and have endeavoured to ensure that that all responses are treated and held in the strictest confidence. It will not be possible to extrapolate individual company figures from the published data.
For further guidance on employment affairs, including Q&As on wage rates and working hours, please go to our Question Centre or Publications section. We also offer a members-only helpline (0844 209 2610) to assist with such issues.
