WARNING – Compulsory online VAT filing begins for most businesses on 1 April 2010

The exact requirement is for returns beginning on or after 1 April 2010 to be made online unless the turnover is less than £100,000 p.a. For most businesses this is the quarterly return ending June, July or August. For monthly VAT returns it is the April return.
